VBD vs BP |
|
Well for our first match we thought we would take on someone already on the ladder and as RNX are unstoppable this only left BP. Our team lineup was boosted when Bobbah decided to purchase an EU copy of the game today, thanks again bob your a lifesaver.
Anyways on with the report, we played best of 5 rounds.
The team lineups were-
Violent By Design-
JiminiCricket
Bobbah
MT_Stig (rounds 2 & 3)
LAZYBOI123 (rounds 1 & 3)
Mekismo (rounds 1 & 2)
BloodPack-
Gily
LegendaryPY
Panzerman
fuzzball5
TDM - Deimos
Host - BP
As BP were higher on the ladder they hosted the first and after a quick lag test we started the game. Now we were all in agreement that this was the worst tdm map in the game and the small chance of getting double enforcers really dissapointed me.
The round started badly with Gily getting first blood however this soon turned around as we took the lead. The lead exchanged so many times in the match that I lost count, it seemed whoever controlled the turret area took the lead then lost it when they lost the turret. The match was awful and full of suicides, myself 5 times alone. Eventually the map came to a close and despite Gily's heroics we just won.
Final Score VBD 49 - 41 BP
MVP - Bobbah and Gily, 19 kills each
TDM - Rising Sun
Host - VBD
This round started just like the first, with BP taking the first few kills, however i soon found my feet as did the rest of my clan and took a 10 kill advantage after 3 minutes. It was refreshing after the emptiness of the first round to have someone to shoot at constantly.
Legendary and Gily both got some stunning kills on myself, legendary hitting me more with the rocket launcher than i could hit him with the flak cannon. Around the half way stage Mekismo went on a kiling spree and was only 1 off a rampage, something which is hard to achieve on such a small map against decent players. This extended our lead which was quickly reduced by Gily going on a spree of his own.
The lead fluctuated constantly but was always between 4 and 12, the good start ended up being the difference between us.
Final Score VBD 143 - 134 BP
MVP - JiminiCricket with 45 kills.
CTF - Reflection
Host - BP
Now this map got off to a flyer and we quickly got the flag and scored, repeated and found ourselves 3-0 up inside 3 minutes. However BP seemed to turn it on at this point and started to do alot better. The flag was constantly being taken then saved seconds later and score may have been very different if it were not for the last second saves from both sides. The most memorable one being when I was on my lift and Gily came out of nowhere to fill my head full of flak.
The round took another 10 minutes before it came to a close with us scoring the fifth flag with 3 minutes remaining on the clock.
Final Score - VBD 5 - 2 BP
MVP - Bobbah with 90 pts, who just beat MT-Stig to it in the last few seconds by 3 points.
Overall score - Violent By Design 3, BloodPack 0
Well played BP, it was close and the tdm's could have gone either way.
